Being a nursing student takes a lot of effort and passion for the profession. It is the career path of sacrifice and fulfillment. A path that most say, "Earned with my blood, sweat, and tears."

A heartbeat is a sacred sign of life. The profound sound was ever so fragile. Just like a heartbeat, let me share a heart-warming short story, a reflection of mine on Nursing Informatics integration of technology into care.
---Found You!---

Ms. Sera, an elderly diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, had gone missing for a little while now. She doesn't seem to remember her address. She tried calling for help from people in the streets but the majority won’t help her, thinking she had gone crazy. A few kind people stopped by and tried to ask her things that may help her pinpoint her home. Alas, no one can truly help her at all. And then, she remembers one thing. Ms. Sera was wearing a smartwatch that lights up whenever she moves. As she was about to tinker with it, it once again lit up and vibrated. The screen says ‘Warning! The person is lost’. A guy approached her and decided to help her settle down on a bench on the sidewalk. The guy suddenly said, "Hi, My name is Jean.”. Ms. Sera politely replied, ‘Hello, young lad. What can I do for you?”. He then said, “Nothing really. That’s a cool watch. What does it do?” She fell silent for a while as if trying to remember what the device was for. Not long after, she chirpily replied, ‘Oh, right! My son said this will help them find me whenever I get lost. How can I forget such a thing? They will be here any moment now. Sorry, this happens all the time. This old lady is very forgetful. Oh! Plus, they also said this also track something about my health.” The guy smiled and said, ‘Your family really loves you. How about we get you home now.” The guy then stood up and walked towards his car. Another lady ran towards them and exclaimed, ‘Thank God! You found her, Hubby.” He replied, ‘Of course, she’s my mother after all.”.

I hope you can see and feel the remote care of nursing in the scenario. The family is concern about their mother with Alzheimer's Disease. Thus, they integrate and utilize technology to aid for her care.
Thank you.
